[[scientific calculator vs simple calculator]]

okay, i'm really starting to hate my course.. there's dis equation: summation of C/(1+r)*n, where i put * as "to the power".. so the equation becomes summation of C divided by (1+r) to the power of n.. and u guys know summation is how rite? so if n = 5, the eqn we haf to write out is C/(1+r) + C/(1+r)*2 + C/1+r)*3 + C/1+r)*4 + C/1+r)*5.. it's REALLY simple using our scientific calculator rite? the prob is tt for tt course, we haf to do it wif a SIMPLE CALCULATOR!! (>_<) can u imagine how long it'll take??!! T_T not to mention if u lose count.. u haf to press (1+r) X 5 times, then record it down, then press C divided by tt amt.. T_T the longest i haf done is up to the power of 8!!! *shriek* i hope exam haf smaller numbers.. and the teacher still said now they'll gif smaller values, like maybe ard 7.. O_O

oh, and the value of C is not fixed, so u can't extract it out and juz add the 1/(1+r) + 1/(1+r)*2 and so on.. *wail~* i want to use scientific calculator!! it's such a hassle to use simple calculator.. T_T plus wif a scientific calculator u want to re-check the value also v fast.. simple calculator do so long liao, u won't want to re-do the calculation to check if u get the same value again.. which is highly possible tt the value u get using simple calculator will be wrong.. at least so far the qns i haf done, all my values derived from the simple calculator were all wrong.. haha.. ^_^;; guess i need more practice.. lol.. though when i tried again then the correct value appeared.. i wonder in exam if i did the calculation twice, which value shld i use? from my past experiences, i shld get the 2nd value.. haha.. ^_^;;
